How Stay or Quit works
Stay or Quit is a small reflection tool. It doesn’t tell you what to do — it simply helps you look at a tough situation from a few angles, then shows you how likely you are to stay or quit based on your own answers.
In short
You choose what your dilemma is about, answer a few lightweight questions, watch a Stay vs Quit probability update in real time, and then either:
- make a deliberate choice to stay or quit yourself, or
- let a weighted coin flip decide, based on your answers.
1. Pick your theme
First, you choose what this dilemma is about. For now, you can pick:
- My job or career
- My relationship
- A general life decision
This doesn’t lock you into anything — it just helps tailor the questions so they feel more relevant to what you’re actually dealing with.
2. Answer a few questions
For your chosen theme, you’ll see a small set of prompts — things like how often you feel stressed, how supported you feel, how urgent a decision seems, and so on.
You’ll respond using simple scales (e.g. Never → Always) or yes/no choices. There is no "right" answer — the tool simply turns your gut feeling into something you can see.
3. Watch the probability update
As you answer, the app keeps track of a single number: the likelihood of staying. It starts at 50/50 and shifts as your answers lean toward staying or leaving.
You’ll see this percentage highlighted at the top of the screen and inside the decision section. It’s not a verdict — just a reflection.
4. Make your choice
When you reach the decision screen, you’ll see your current quit likelihood and three options:
- I choose to stay
- I choose to quit
- Let fate decide (weighted coin flip)
5. Let fate decide
If you choose the coin flip, the odds mirror your probability:
- 70% stay → 70% chance of Stay
- 30% stay → 70% chance of Quit
- 50% stay → true 50/50
6. Resolve another dilemma
When you’re done, reset everything with one tap and start again with a new situation or theme.
